1. Screenshots using default key combination(Physical button)

The steps are given below:
- Simultaneously press the “Sleep/Wake” button and Home button. The Sleep button can be found on the top and the home button is the circular knob in front of the device.
- While pressing, a white flash will appear on the screen and will hear a camera shutter sound. It indicates the screenshot is successfully taken.
- The captured image will be saved to “Camera Roll” in “Photos”.
2. Screenshots using Assistive touch
Assistive touch is another method used rather than the default method. It seems to be helpful when your home button or sleep/wake button is damaged so that you would not be able to take a screenshot. The Touch ID may even get mistakes sometimes. It identifies our gesture to be something else rather than doing PrintScreen. Hence, the assistive method is to be noted for evading more trouble.
The steps include:
- Settings>General>Accessibility>Assistive touch. Toggle the button and make sure it is on.
- Go back to the home screen and will see a transparent grey square. This is the floating assistive touch icon. When you are ready to take a screenshot, just press the Assistive Touch icon & tap Device>More>Screenshot.
- The image will be saved in “Camera Roll” in Photos
3. Screenshots using 3rd party apps
For more convenient and advanced screenshots, users can look for 3rd party applications. Skitch may be the best solution for this feature as the app is equipped with many functions. It will take photos and visit “Camera Roll”. App also has the skill to provide a map function and a web search function.
After taking screenshots, there are options to edit the photos by inserting texts, effects etc. You can store email or send it to other apps on the phone.
