Hello guys, I’m here with the topic ” how to take a screenshot on Dell XPS“. I know that most of you might know about the screenshot procedures as many of you were using laptops. But I believe that my article would help some in doing it. Before going to our topic, let me give a brief account of the specified model.

Dell is a renowned American multinational computer technology company that develops, sells, repairs, and supports computers and related products. The company is one of the largest technology corporations in the world employing more than 165,000 people in the US and around the world. They are known as the biggest PC producing companies in the world. The company was founded on Feb.1, 1984, by Michael Dell. Today, it is one of the leading companies in the world that are selling PCs, Servers, Smartphones, TVs, and peripherals. Their official website is www.dell.com.

Talking about Dell XPS(eXtreme Performance System) is a line of consumer-oriented high-end laptop and desktop computers by Dell. The model was launched in 2008. The computers run on the Windows Operating System. XPS is a premium-priced laptop focussed on users preferring high-end features. They came up with high-resolution displays, exceptionally built quality, and other powerful features. Its hardware is well suited for gaming.

This is a feature mostly used by all in phones and laptops. It can be done in the XPS series also. Sometimes we may need this feature for easy access of a webpage to share for someone or simply for sharing our display screen itself. Here I’m mentioning the ways to take screenshots in Dell XPS.

Mostly there are 2 methods for taking screenshots. You can follow the steps given below so that you can take screenshots without any further confusions.

1. Using PrintScreen key

• Navigate to the page you need to take the screenshot.
• Locate the PrtSc key. It is typically found on the upper right side of Dell keyboards.
• Locate the window key. Found on the bottom- left corner)
• Press the Windows key and PrtSc key simultaneously. While doing this, your screen will dim for a while indicating that you have captured the screenshot.
• The screenshot taken will appear in the screenshot folder of your laptop.

2. Using the Snipping Tool

• Open the start menu by pressing the windows key.
• Type “Snipping Tool”. This will pull up the snipping tool icon.
• Open it.
• Click on Mode. This will give a drop-down menu and select a screenshot shape from the given option. The given shape will be applied to your screenshot template.
• Change the border if you need to by clicking on the ” Options” button.
• Click ” New”. While doing this, the screen will dim indicating the screenshot is taken.
• Locate the File menu and click on Save As to save.
